Poosana’s hospitality career began after he graduated from Travel Industry Management at the University of Hawaii in Manoa, USA. Recruited by Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in Maui, Hawaii, Poosana began work on what would become a 17 year long assignment with Four Seasons in Hawaii, Las Vegas, San Diego, Mexico, the Maldives, Mauritius and Thailand. It was during this time that Poosana acquired his vast experience with some of the most distinguished hotels, resorts and residential properties in the world.
He worked in Food & Beverage, Rooms Division, Purchasing and Landscaping with substantial exposure to Engineering. His extensive opening experiences include The Regent Chiang-Mai (now a Four Seasons property), Four Seasons Resort Hualalai in Hawaii, Four Seasons Resort Maldives, Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara, Four Seasons Residence Club Punta Mita, and Four Seasons Mauritius Private Residences. Poosana has also consulted for Cheval Blanc Randheli by LVMH. These properties are ranked amongst the most prestigious and have earned awards and accolades worldwide.
Poosana’s skill set is extremely varied with successful assignments spanning from developing operating structures for Stewarding, Purchasing, Housekeeping and Laundry to coordinating the installation of Furnitures, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E). His focus during the past 10 years has been on residential operations, where he pioneered the development of operation guidelines and implementation for the first fractional ownership and timeshare residence club.
Poosana played key roles in asset and capital management, with an excellent understanding of reserve study. One of his strength lies in cost control and it is through his expertise and sound financial management that consistent budget goals have been achieved. Understanding the need for owners to successfully fuse excellent service with financial sensibility, Poosana consistently delivers both. Poosana was a member of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce’s (San Diego, USA) sustainability committee.
Joining 365Playground Management as a Residential and Rooms Division Specialist, Poosana’s responsibilities include rooms division, housekeeping & laundry operations, full and fractional residential ownership operations, budgeting, purchasing, FF&E, OS&E, labour management, cost control, standards development, guest experience quality assurance, asset management, loss prevention, safety, capital reserve study, L.E.A.P. advisor, training and employee relations.
