Tomas Stastny graduated in 2009 from Lausanne University with a Master of Science in Business Information Systems. His professional career started with Bank Lombard Odier & Cie in Geneva as an internal auditor, followed by a data manager role in a special task force and then a position as a fraud analyst and investigator for the Group.
After 12 years with the Swiss private bank, Tomas took the opportunity to join consulting firm Capco as a senior business analyst to assist a top tier Thai bank to implement their fraud risk management department and install a fraud monitoring tool. Once the project reached its end, he reoriented his professional career and recently opened a coffee shop specialized in craft donuts and cookies in Bangkok.
Tomas played professional ice hockey in Switzerland in his early twenties, followed by 10 years of semi-professional playing in parallel of his studies and working career. After his hockey playing times, he stayed involved in sports and co-founded a CrossFit gym in Lausanne for which he ran the business part for 3 years before selling his shares.
While in Thailand, Tomas went back to playing hockey in the Siam Hockey League for which he is also now part of the executive committee. In February 2023, he was asked to head coach the men Thai National Ice Hockey Team for the 2023 IIHF Division 3A world championship.
Tomas speaks fluently French, English, Slovak, with some German knowledge and he is learning Thai.
