Flourishing Wineries of Australia’s Gold Coast
365Playground’s own Akino Nourdine (Corporate Business Development, Sales & Marketing & Training) guest blogs about her new home Queensland, Australia and its flourishing wine industry.
Queensland Australia enjoys 300 sunny days a year and a year-round temperate climate as a way of life! And as one of new Queenslanders, I am thrilled to share one of my latest discoveries.
The Gold Coast, located in South East Queensland, offers a gourmet paradise with delectable, award-winning wines, organic and fresh produce.
Follow the food and wine trail of Gold Coast Hinterland and you’ll be sipping on a Chardonnay or rolling a Shiraz around your mouth on a grape-fuelled adventure on a magnificent scenic drive.
While only half an hour away from the beaches of the Gold Coast, the area’s temperate climate has ideal grape growing conditions. It is a spectacular wine region featuring boutique wineries and vineyards set in the beautiful rainforests of Mount Tamborine and the emerald countryside of Albert River and Canungra, with many located in picturesque settings.
Spoil yourself at superb restaurants, vineyard tours and cheese tastings, or simply order one of these gourmet picnics filled with fresh produce and antipasto in grassy knolls overlooking vineyard slopes, while witnessing wildlife in their native.
