3 Much-Desired Improvements to Hotel Bathrooms
Hotel brands have been working on improving the ambiance of their bathrooms for years by partnering with beauty brands — but there’s so much more to be done.
Wyndham Worldwide and The Westin are just a few big brands making some small changes that is sure to result in a dramatic change in guest satisfaction:
Goodbye Bathtub — When was the last time you took a bubble bath when traveling? Wyndham agrees, finding that a bathtub eats up space. They’re looking at replacing this traditional aspect of the bathroom with rainfall showers and hand-held showerheads.
Your Personal Spotlight — Lack of lighting in the bathroom is one of the more common irritations guests face, even in the most luxurious hotel. Wyndham, Westin and Sheraton are all looking at changing their approach to lighting, including the Wyndham’s plan for a full-on Hollywood mirror framed with bulbs.
Power Please — According to an internal study by one hotel of 6000 guests, 7 out of 10 used hairdryers and they all wanted more power. As handy as those little white dryers affixed to the wall can be when you’ve forgotten your own at home, we look forward to some real power in the bathroom.
